Not every culture will adopted the latest technology at the same rate. We will always see variations in the world not matter what we are dealing with. Different age groups and incomes could be the main reasons for variations in technology adoption. Your grandparents are not likely to be using networking sites like your teenager. Of course, those in a more rural area are less likely to have access to the latest technology for various reasons. Technology isn’t for the privileged it should be accessible to everyone who has a desire to learn.

I agree with what you say. I mean sometimes we think we here in America are at the forefront of using technology but that is far from true. Visit some Asian countries and then see what new technology is all about.
Also, kids in poor urban areas have difficulties accessing technology just like rural kids do. It is kind of difficult to go to the library with drug dealers and shootings happening along the path there. Just wanted everyone to know it isnt only rural kids because most of us probalby live in a rural area (which I would say is any city less then 20,000).
