Black and White

I decided to stay with the theme of “snow day” and transform one of my favorite pictures from color to black and white.  I contemplated leaving the jeep the original color, but I quickly changed my mind while playing around and trying my options. I think the street sign looks great. I’m really happy with the picture and this assignment didn’t frustrate me.

That’s okay, Dr. Lowell! I was going to say thanks for the support for saying that you were happy with the assignment, but did you really need to add that you weren’t frustraited? :)

Okay, just kidding. This is a really cool picture. I love the tree and all of the stuff going on. I bet when it is in color that the sign just blends in. It looks really artistic with the black and white with a hint of red on the sign. It could be a public service announcement about obeying the traffic laws and being careful when it snows even though it looks pretty. Good job!

It was an interesting choice to leave the sign in color. I hadn’t thought about it before, but I wonder how it would look if we could have more than one item in color? I think your picture would look really cool if the tree was in color too or maybe with a light color overlay? I love playing with this stuff even if it is a little frustrating at times and you seem to enjoy it too. Good job.
